Yes, well remember that warcraft three aimed to become a
new game genre: an RPS (role playing strategy). It is quite interesting to see how warcraft 3 was first intended to be played, and what it ended up becoming. Original plans sounded more like a forgotten realms/ myth the fallen lords type game.
It seems to me that sc2 follows more in line with what sc1 was.

This will be an obstacle for the single player campaign development. How do you create a game with so many choices from becoming too short? I mean, you have to create many extra levels that some players may not even touch. Surely, blizzard will see to it that there will be more than a minimum 7 missions to complete the campaign.
